Questions

Is Watch In Order free?

Yes. Ticking titles works without an account and is saved in your browser. A free account syncs your progress across devices and gives you a public profile to share.

Where do the watch orders come from?

Release order comes from original release dates. Chronological orders follow official timelines where the studio publishes one (such as the Disney+ MCU timeline) and the stated setting of each title where it does not. Every placement with a judgement call carries a note explaining it.

How is the total time calculated?

Film runtimes plus, for series, the number of episodes multiplied by the typical episode length, counting only released episodes. Upcoming titles never count until they are out.

Which universes are covered?

Marvel, Star Wars, DC, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Fast & Furious so far, with more added regularly. Each one is checked against official sources and Wikipedia and shows the date it was last verified.
